Help us with the development of a new program aimed at helping parents and teenagers move from an-adult-child relationship to an adult-adult relationship.
Learn2Adult is supported by Telethon and run by Mosaic, with an aim to fill gaps in assisting young people (14 to 18 years old) living with disability to grow control over their lives and become the best possible decision maker for themselves. The program will alleviate worry for parents, knowing that decision-making and control of everyday life is maximised in a safe manner for their loved ones and will help remove potential frustration and limitations on quality of life for young people.
To help, be part of the Learn2Adult consultation on Thursday 11 May 2023. Share your insights and real-life experiences to help make this new tool as useful as possible.
Learn2Adult is seeking people to join the consultation who meet the following criteria:
- Individuals who are 20 years old and above living with a disability
- Individuals with lived experience as primary carers of adolescents living with disability (e.g., families, parents, guardians)
If you meet the above criteria and are interested in participating in our consultation process, please contact Linh at learn2adult@mosaic.org.au or 0439 213 394 by Thursday, 4 May 2023. If you know anyone that might be interested, please distribute this letter across your network.
You can also contact Linh if the proposed date does not work for you or should you have any questions.
